Privacy review

Ottawa laundry privacy policy for Laundryless pickup customers.

This Ottawa laundry privacy policy explains what Laundryless collects when you read service pages, book a pickup, or send a contact note. It covers laundry data handling Ottawa customers are most likely to ask about: pickup addresses, postal codes, saved cards, photos, browser drafts, service providers, retention, rights, and how to reach us about privacy. The policy is written for a single Ottawa operator, so information stays tied to service delivery, support, fraud prevention, and practical review rather than marketplace profiling.

What this privacy policy covers.

Use this numbered rail to jump through the Ottawa laundry privacy policy before booking. The body sections stay stable so information collected, processors, retention, and rights can be reviewed without rereading the whole page.

Section 01 路 Information Collected

Information Collected

Laundryless collects the information you give us when you book, use your account, or send a contact message. This can include your name, email address, phone number, service, pickup address, postal code, access notes, care preferences, item notes, and photos you attach to a support request.

We also collect basic technical information that helps the site work, such as browser type, device size, the page you are on, language preference, and error details when something breaks. When you save a card, you type it into our payment provider鈥檚 secure card form. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep only the card brand, the last four digits, and the expiry date so you can recognise your saved card.

Photos may show clothing, bedding, labels, room context, or other details you decide to include. Please do not upload government documents, payment cards, medical information, or anything unrelated to your laundry. If you send information we do not need, we may ignore it, remove it where possible, or ask you to send the request again without it.

Booking, order, billing, and support records are stored only with the service providers we use to run Laundryless. We review this policy when those providers change.

Section 02 路 How We Use It

How We Use It

We use your information to pick up, clean, and return your order, to charge your saved card after delivery, to answer support questions, and to make the site clearer. A contact message helps us answer your question within our published support target.

We use contact details to reply to customers, clarify request details, and send service-related messages. We use address and postal-code details to check whether the requested pickup is inside the Ottawa service area. We use item notes, care preferences, and photos to handle your laundry the way you asked.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information to build a marketplace profile or share it with unrelated businesses. Laundryless is one accountable operator serving Ottawa directly. Customer information is used for service delivery, support, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and product improvement tied to this service.

We may use combined, anonymous counts to see which pages, services, and form steps need clearer wording. These counts do not identify you. We do not use advertising tags.

Section 03 路 Cookies

Cookies

The site may use essential browser storage to keep your booking form filled in while you finish it. You can clear it in your browser settings.

This storage saves you from typing the same details twice. It is not your account record. On a shared browser, another person may see a saved draft until it is cleared, so please clear drafts on shared devices.

No advertising pixels are used on this site. We keep first-party, aggregate counts of which pages, channels, and booking steps are used so wording and flows can be improved. These counts hold no name, email, address, or IP address; a random browser token used to tie a visit to a booking is stored only as a one-way hash and expires. A Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal from the browser turns the counting off, and the switch under the privacy limits below does the same.

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking essential storage may make booking less convenient, but you can still read the service pages, pricing, policies, FAQ, and accessibility statement.

Section 04 路 Third-Party Processors

Third-Party Processors

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect forms from automated abuse. Our hosting, email, payment, and storage providers receive only what they need to provide the service.

Hosting providers may process logs needed to serve pages and protect the service. Email providers process names, email addresses, and message content needed to send service emails. Our payment provider processes your card details when you save a card at booking and when we charge it after delivery.

Photos and files you send us are stored privately and shown only to you and our team. Please do not email or upload card details through the contact form.

Laundryless may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service from abuse, to respond to a security incident, or to handle a customer dispute. Disclosure is limited to what is reasonably needed for the purpose.

Section 05 路 Retention

Retention

Browser drafts stay until you clear them, start over, or your browser removes them. We will publish how long we keep account, order, support, and file records once those periods are set.

Operational records will be kept only as long as needed for service delivery, legal obligations, dispute handling, tax records, security review, and support history. A support request may need to stay available long enough for us to follow up. An order record may need to stay available long enough to resolve service, billing, or damage questions.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, anonymize it, or keep it only where law or legitimate business needs require retention. Backup copies, logs, and security records may take longer to age out because they follow operational backup and incident-response procedures.

Clearing your browser does not remove records we hold. Contact us to ask for access, correction, or deletion of your records.

Section 06 路 Rights

Rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information where the law allows. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or dispute reasons.

Include enough detail for us to find the booking or support conversation without sharing more than needed. A useful request may include the email address used, the approximate request date, the service involved, and whether the question is about a booking, contact message, or policy issue.

We may need to confirm who you are before sharing or changing information. This protects you from someone else trying to see your order, address, or support history. If we cannot confirm the request, we may ask for more information or decline to share details.

You may also ask how your information is used, object to certain uses where the law allows, or request a copy of information in a practical format. The response will explain what can be done, what cannot be done, and why.

Section 07 路 Contact DPO

Contact DPO

Send privacy questions through the contact form or by email at info@laundryless.ca. We will review the request and reply through the most suitable channel.

Laundryless is a small single-operator service, so the privacy contact is handled through the same service channel rather than a separate enterprise privacy office. The contact path is still treated seriously. Privacy questions are routed for review and answered clearly.

We review this policy when the information we collect, the providers we use, where data is stored, how long we keep it, or how you can exercise your rights changes.

Please do not send sensitive documents, card numbers, passwords, or unrelated personal information through the contact form. If a sensitive issue needs discussion, send a short note first and we will tell you the safest way to continue.
